Zero profile above grade. DuraTherm is thermoplastic inlaid in a stamped surface. The asphalt is heated and stamped first; precut 90 mil thermoplastic is set into the impressions and bonded with an infrared heater, so the finished surface sits flush with the road: nothing for a plow blade to catch, nothing to trip on, no shear damage through winter maintenance. The look of a decorative crosswalk with zero profile above grade. Specified for crosswalks, speed tables, traffic calming and identity work where winter maintenance would strip anything that sits on top. Specifications: - Install: Inlaid into a stamped surface - Profile: Zero: flush with the road - Snowplow safe: Yes, no shear risk - Bond: Heat-fused to asphalt substrate Applications: Crosswalks, Community Branding, Public Spaces, Parking Lots, Bus Lanes ### DecoMark https://hubss.com/products/decomark Family: Preformed Thermoplastics Custom graphics. Community identity. Public art. DecoMark is preformed thermoplastic custom graphics: factory-fabricated to your vector artwork in standard and premium colours, then heat-applied to asphalt or concrete, where it bonds to the surface. Community identity, commemorative art, wayfinding and civic landmarks at street scale: crests, BIA marks, recognition markers and rail-safety reminders that hold their contrast through freeze-thaw and plow seasons. Anti-skid aggregate runs through the material, so the grip lasts as the surface wears, and it does not alter the pavement underneath. Specifications: - System: Preformed thermoplastic - Design: Vector artwork - Colour: Standard and premium options - Installation: Heat-applied, bonds to the surface - Surfaces: Asphalt and concrete Applications: Public Art, Community Branding, Public Spaces, Playgrounds, Parks & Paths, Crosswalks ### AirMark https://hubss.com/products/airmark Family: Preformed Thermoplastics Preformed thermoplastic for non-runway airfield markings. AirMark is preformed thermoplastic for airfield markings on taxiways, aprons, hold positions and other non-runway surfaces. Glass beads are embedded through the full cross-section of the material, so retroreflectivity holds as the surface wears. Certified crews heat-apply it, and it resists aviation fuels, lubricants and de-icers. It is specified for taxiway markings, hold positions, apron and ramp markings, aircraft parking and tie-down positions, and airside vehicle roadways. Specifications: - Material: Preformed thermoplastic - Colours: Five standard: white, yellow, red, black, pink - Resists: Aviation fuels, lubricants, de-icers - Installation: Heat-applied, bonds to the surface Applications: Airports, Regulatory Markings ### StreetBond https://hubss.com/products/streetbond Family: Coatings The colour. Engineered for life in Canada. StreetBond is the colour: a water-based, epoxy-modified acrylic pavement coating for asphalt and concrete, designed to move with the pavement and so avoid the three failures of rigid coatings: cracking, premature wear and being slippery in wet conditions. Sixty-three standard colours plus full custom colour matching, UV-stable and skid-resistant, engineered for plows and de-icing seasons. It is the coating that colours every StreetPrint pattern, and on its own it turns parks, playgrounds, courts and area markings into surface colour. A service life of 8+ years, and easily refreshed: a worn surface is recoated, not rebuilt. Specifications: - Type: Water-based, epoxy-modified acrylic - Surfaces: Asphalt and concrete - Colours: 63 standard + custom matching - Flexibility: Moves with the pavement: no cracking, no peeling - Service life: 8+ years / easily refreshed Applications: Bike Lanes, Bus Lanes, Crosswalks, Parking Lots, Public Spaces, Sport Courts, Playgrounds, Parks & Paths, Splash Pads, Townhomes, Traffic Calming, Public Art ### StreetBondSR https://hubss.com/products/streetbondsr Family: Coatings Solar reflective coating. Mitigating the urban heat island effect. StreetBondSR is StreetBond formulated to reflect rather than absorb: the same flexible chemistry, engineered for cooler surfaces. Twelve colours carry an initial solar reflectance of 0.33 or higher and can contribute to the LEED v5 Sustainable Sites credit for urban heat island reduction (non-roof). Applied to asphalt for parking, plazas, schools and LEED projects, it lowers surface temperature relative to dark pavement while carrying the durability and slip resistance of the StreetBond system, with a service life of 8+ years. Specifications: - Type: Solar reflective epoxy-modified acrylic - Solar reflectance: ≥ 0.33 initial · 12 colours - LEED: v5 SS credit: urban heat island (non-roof) - Surfaces: Asphalt - Service life: 8+ years Applications: LEED & Urban Heat Island, Parking Lots, Playgrounds, Splash Pads, Sport Courts ### MMAX https://hubss.com/products/mmax Family: Coatings MMA area markings. Fast installation. Built for tough environments. MMAX is a methyl methacrylate (MMA) area marking: a two-part resin with hard aggregate and colourfast pigment, for red bus lanes, green bike lanes, transit priority lanes and traffic calming. It is traffic-ready in about an hour, so an active corridor is marked in one overnight closure. The aggregate gives it grip, and it goes down from 3°C and rising, which matters in a Canadian season. Eight standard and fifteen premium colours. Specifications: - Material: Methyl methacrylate (MMA) resin - Cure: 45–60 min · traffic-ready - Traction: Embedded aggregate, skid-resistant Applications: Bike Lanes, Bus Lanes, Traffic Calming, Pedestrian Safety ### DuraShield https://hubss.com/products/durashield Family: Coatings Pavement maintenance coating. Maintain a surface instead of replacing it. DuraShield is a two-component, epoxy-modified acrylic maintenance coating for asphalt. It resists fuel, oil and de-icing agents, cools the surface with solar-reflective options, and protects the substrate underneath, extending the service life of the pavement instead of replacing it. Specified for parking lots, driveways, pathways and LEED sites where the asphalt is sound and the surface needs protecting. Specifications: - Type: Two-component epoxy-modified acrylic - Surfaces: Asphalt - Chemical resistance: Fuel, oil, de-icing agents - Solar reflectance: Optional (SR Gray 0.35 on the 2026 colour card) Applications: Parking Lots, Residential Driveways, Parks & Paths, LEED & Urban Heat Island, Townhomes ### StreetPrint https://hubss.com/products/streetprint Family: Stamped Asphalt Stamped asphalt. The original. Since 1992, a Canadian invention. StreetPrint is the original stamped asphalt, a Canadian invention, installed since 1992. Patterns are stamped into new or existing asphalt, then coloured with StreetBond coatings. The surface stays flush: nothing for a plow blade to catch, no joints to weed, no pavers to settle, and the asphalt stays flexible. Brick, cobble, herringbone or a custom pattern goes in with the pavement already there (reheat, stamp, coat), with no removal, no repaving and no haul-away. In Canadian service that is a 10–20 year surface, specified for crosswalks, driveways, plazas and heritage streetscapes. Specifications: - System: Stamping + StreetBond coating - Process: Reheat · Stamp · Coat - Patterns: Standard and custom options - Base: New or existing asphalt - Service life: 10–20 years - Snowplow safe: Yes, flush surface, nothing to catch Applications: Crosswalks, Residential Driveways, Public Spaces, Parks & Paths, Townhomes, Community Branding, Public Art, Commercial Spaces, Parking Lots, Traffic Calming Questions and answers: Q: What is StreetPrint stamped asphalt? A: StreetPrint is stamped asphalt, the original decorative asphalt system, installed in Canada since 1992. A pattern is pressed into asphalt using heat, a stamping template, and a plate compactor, then the surface is coloured and sealed with StreetBond coatings. The result gives the look of brick, cobblestone, or stone while keeping the flexibility and flush surface of asphalt. Q: Can you stamp existing asphalt, or only new asphalt? A: Both. New asphalt can be stamped while it is still hot behind the paver, and existing asphalt in good condition can be reheated in place with infrared asphalt-reheating technology and then stamped. Reheating is what makes retrofits possible: a sound existing driveway or intersection does not need to be repaved to be patterned. Q: How long does stamped asphalt last? A: The print is as durable as the asphalt it is stamped into. Installed correctly on sound pavement, it lasts the life of the surface itself. In Canadian municipal service that is a 10–20 year range, and StreetPrint installations have been performing on public streets for over 30 years. Q: Does stamped asphalt need maintenance? A: The stamped pattern itself requires no maintenance. Where a finishing system such as StreetBond coating is applied, the coating can be refreshed on its own cycle (a recoat, not a rebuild), following the coating manufacturer's guidelines. Q: When can stamped asphalt be opened to traffic? A: Left uncoated, StreetPrint can be opened to traffic immediately after stamping. When a coating system is applied, opening follows the coating's cure time rather than the stamping: for StreetBond, that is measured in hours, not days. Q: Is stamped asphalt cheaper than brick or interlocking pavers? A: StreetPrint carries a significant cost advantage over brick and paver alternatives, and installs faster: there is no excavation, no unit placement, and no jointing. It also avoids the long-term costs pavers accumulate: no joints for weeds, no units to settle or heave, and nothing for a snowplow blade to catch. Q: Can StreetPrint be used on speed bumps and raised crosswalks? A: Yes. StreetPrint can be applied to any speed table or raised feature built from stable asphalt, which is how many municipalities pattern traffic-calming installations: the calming geometry and the visual treatment go in as one surface. Q: How thick does the asphalt need to be? A: StreetPrint should go onto stable asphalt designed for its application and installed to specification. For most hot-mix designs that is a compacted thickness of 1.5 to 2 inches. Stamping into significantly thinner asphalt risks cracking along the grout lines unless the pavement was specifically engineered for that thickness. Q: Can StreetPrint be installed on a patio or over seal-coat? A: Neither is recommended. Patios and pool decks are better served by concrete or patio stone, because asphalt can take indents from furniture point loads. Seal-coated surfaces should not be stamped at all. Most sealers become unsafe to work and sticky when heated, so the seal-coat would need to be removed first. ### ChipFill https://hubss.com/products/chipfill Family: Asphalt & Concrete Repair Thermoplastic chips for permanent pothole repair, heated in place. Year-round, all-weather. ChipFill is thermoplastic in small chips: poured into the prepared hole, levelled and heated with a propane torch, so it needs no specialized equipment and no hot-mix plant. Once heated, it conforms to the shape of the damage and bonds to the surrounding asphalt or concrete, sealing out the water that drives freeze-thaw damage. It can be installed year-round in any weather, and the lane reopens to traffic within minutes. It is used for patrol patching, emergency repairs, utility cuts and edge joints on roads, parking lots, sidewalks and pathways. Specifications: - Type: Thermoplastic repair chips, heated in place - Equipment: A propane torch - Surfaces: Asphalt and concrete - Weather: Any, year-round - Back in service: Minutes - Best for: Smaller potholes, cracks, joints Applications: Parking Lots, Residential Driveways, Parks & Paths, Commercial Spaces, Townhomes ### AggreFill https://hubss.com/products/aggrefill Family: Asphalt & Concrete Repair Pre-coated aggregate filler for larger potholes. Combined with ChipFill for permanent repair. AggreFill is a pre-coated aggregate filler used with ChipFill to permanently repair larger potholes: deep road failures, parking lot craters, industrial-site damage and utility cuts. Where the damage is too deep or wide for ChipFill alone, AggreFill fills the void and ChipFill bonds the aggregate and seals the repair flush. The system goes in cold and is finished with a heat torch, bonding to the surrounding asphalt or concrete. Like ChipFill on its own, it can be installed year-round in any weather, and the lane reopens to traffic within minutes. Specifications: - Type: Pre-coated aggregate, used with ChipFill - How it goes in: Poured cold, finished with a torch and ChipFill - Surfaces: Asphalt and concrete - Best for: Potholes too deep or wide for ChipFill alone - Back in service: Minutes - Weather: Any, year-round Applications: Parking Lots, Residential Driveways, Parks & Paths, Commercial Spaces, Townhomes ### Fast Patch DPR https://hubss.com/products/fast-patch Family: Asphalt & Concrete Repair Polymer-blend repair for potholes, spalls, and utility cuts. Back in service in about an hour. Fast Patch DPR is a distressed pavement repair material for asphalt and concrete: a pourable polymer blend of recycled and renewable materials for high-strength repairs to potholes, spalls, joints, wheel paths and utility cuts. With minimal site preparation, a repair is back in service in about an hour at 21°C, and the optional Fast Patch Kicker accelerator shortens the cure in cooler conditions so the work can go on year-round. The repair is permanent, bonding to the surrounding pavement, and freeze-thaw resistant for colder climates. Because it is odourless and 100% solids, it can be used indoors, on warehouse floors, as well as on roads, parking lots, sidewalks and utility cuts. Specifications: - Type: Pourable polymer-blend pavement repair - Made from: Recycled and renewable polymers - Return to service: About 1 hour at 21°C - Cold weather: Fast Patch Kicker accelerator shortens the cure - Surfaces: Asphalt and concrete, indoors too Applications: Parking Lots, Residential Driveways, Parks & Paths, Commercial Spaces, Townhomes ## Applications ### Crosswalks https://hubss.com/applications/crosswalks High-contrast crosswalks in preformed thermoplastic that keep their grip and their colour through plow seasons. A crosswalk has two jobs: it tells a driver that someone may be crossing, and it keeps its grip under the people who do. HUB builds crosswalks in preformed thermoplastic. TrafficPatterns is heat-applied to asphalt or concrete and bonds to the surface; TrafficPatternsXD, the thicker, aggregate-reinforced sheet, is heated on prepared asphalt and stamped into it, for intersections with heavy, turning traffic. Both carry anti-skid aggregate through the full material, so the grip lasts as the surface wears, and both hold their colour through plow blades and de-icing seasons. DecoMark adds custom graphics for a crossing that carries a community's artwork, and DuraTherm sets the marking into stamped asphalt where a plow would strip anything that sits on top. Systems: TrafficPatternsXD, TrafficPatterns, DecoMark, StreetBond, DuraTherm, PreMark, StreetPrint ### Bike Lanes https://hubss.com/applications/bike-lanes Coloured lanes in MMA, symbols and bike boxes in preformed thermoplastic. A bike lane protects cyclists only while drivers can see it, so its colour and its symbols have to last. MMAX is an MMA area marking: a two-part resin with hard aggregate and colourfast green pigment, traffic-ready in about an hour, so a lane goes in overnight. PreMark supplies the bicycle symbols, arrows, bike boxes and conflict-zone markings in preformed thermoplastic, pre-cut to specification and heat-applied without stencils, with glass beads that return a headlight to the driver. StreetBond pavement coating colours lanes and multi-use paths with lighter traffic. The choice is made by the traffic the lane carries and the window the road can be closed for. Systems: MMAX, PreMark, StreetBond ### Bus Lanes https://hubss.com/applications/bus-lanes Red bus lanes and transit corridor surfaces in MMA and aggregate-reinforced thermoplastic, built for concentrated loads. Bus lanes and transit corridors concentrate wear: the same wheel paths, thousands of times a day, with braking and turning at every stop. MMAX gives the red lane: an MMA resin with hard aggregate, marked in one overnight closure. TrafficPatternsXD, the aggregate-reinforced preformed thermoplastic, is heated and stamped into the asphalt at crossings and bus stops, where it holds under concentrated loads and keeps its grip. HUB specifies both for bus rapid transit corridors and bus priority lanes. Systems: TrafficPatternsXD, MMAX, DuraTherm, StreetBond ### Parking Lots https://hubss.com/applications/parking-lots Maintenance coatings, stamped asphalt and thermoplastic markings for commercial parking lots. A parking lot takes sun, oil, de-icing salt and wheel loads that turn in place, and it is judged every day by the people who use it. DuraShield is a two-component, epoxy-modified acrylic maintenance coating for asphalt: it resists fuel, oil and de-icing agents and protects the pavement underneath, so a sound surface is coated instead of replaced. StreetBond adds colour for drive aisles, wayfinding zones and fire lanes, and StreetPrint stamps a pattern into the asphalt at entrances and pedestrian routes for the look of pavers with nothing to settle or weed. For the crossings between the stalls and the doors, TrafficPatternsXD holds under turning traffic, and PreMark supplies arrows, stop bars and accessible parking symbols in preformed thermoplastic. Systems: DuraShield, StreetBond, StreetPrint, TrafficPatternsXD, TrafficPatterns, PreMark, DuraTherm, StreetBondSR ### Parks & Paths https://hubss.com/applications/parks-paths Colour, pattern and wayfinding on park paths, plazas and multi-use trails. A well-kept, colourful path invites people into a park, and a path surface has to take bikes, strollers and plow blades as well as feet. StreetBond pavement coating puts UV-stable colour on existing asphalt paths and plazas, so a route can double as wayfinding or become a destination in itself. StreetPrint stamps a pattern into the asphalt at entries, seating courts and plazas for the look of stone with no joints to weed. DecoMark adds custom graphics at ground level, wayfinding symbols, recognition markers and play markings, heat-applied to the surface, and TrafficPatterns carries the crossing where a path meets a road. DuraShield maintenance coating extends the service life of an older path that is still sound. Systems: StreetBond, DecoMark, DuraShield, StreetPrint, TrafficPatterns ### Playgrounds https://hubss.com/applications/playgrounds Colour and game markings on school and park asphalt, with grip, recoated rather than rebuilt. Children are hard on surfaces: knees, bikes, basketballs and a decade of running, with no budget for annual repainting. StreetBond pavement coating puts vivid, UV-stable colour on an asphalt or concrete play surface with a slip-resistant texture, and StreetBondSR colours reflect the sun so the surface stays cooler underfoot. DecoMark brings the games and the graphics: hopscotch, number grids, compass roses, four-square courts and school crests, factory-cut in preformed thermoplastic and heat-applied to the surface. TrafficPatterns carries the crossing at the school gate in the same material. A worn surface is recoated over a summer break, not rebuilt. Systems: DecoMark, StreetBond, StreetBondSR, TrafficPatterns ### Community Branding https://hubss.com/applications/community-branding Neighbourhood identity, cultural art and wayfinding, heat-applied to the street in preformed thermoplastic. Community branding puts a neighbourhood's name, crest and story into the surface of its streets. DecoMark is the system: custom graphics factory-cut in preformed thermoplastic to the community's artwork, in standard and premium colours, and heat-applied to asphalt or concrete, where it bonds to the surface. It carries BIA wayfinding and business district branding, heritage markers, Pride crossings and First Nations artwork made in partnership with the nation. TrafficPatterns and TrafficPatternsXD carry the same identity into the crosswalks, as at UBC, where the Musqueam crosswalk was designed by the university and the nation together in TrafficPatterns, and StreetPrint stamps a heritage streetscape into the asphalt itself. All of it is made from vector artwork and installed by HUB's certified installers. Systems: DecoMark, TrafficPatternsXD, TrafficPatterns, StreetPrint, DuraTherm ### Sport Courts https://hubss.com/applications/sport-courts Court colour for tennis, basketball, pickleball and multi-sport surfaces, in StreetBond pavement coating. Lateral movement, constant foot traffic, sun, and lines whose geometry the game depends on: a court asks more of a coating than most pavement does. StreetBond pavement coating is a two-part, water-based, epoxy-modified acrylic that bonds to asphalt or acid-etched concrete and moves with the pavement instead of cracking, in 63 standard colours with custom matching for a school's or a club's colours. The playing surface, the border and the lines go down in the same material, with a texture that gives grip in the wet. StreetBondSR colours reflect the sun, so a court in full summer sun stays cooler underfoot. When the lines wear, the court is recoated. Systems: StreetBond, StreetBondSR ### Splash Pads https://hubss.com/applications/splash-pads StreetBond coatings for a surface that is wet, chemically treated and walked on barefoot all day. On a splash pad the first requirement is grip in the wet, with chemical treatment and bare feet all season. StreetBond pavement coating is applied to the prepared concrete in a textured, slip-resistant build, in the vivid colours that make the pad a destination, with UV-stable pigments that hold through a season of sun and chemical splash. StreetBondSR colours reflect a third of the sun's energy or more, so the surface stays cooler on bare feet. The coating moves with the concrete rather than cracking, and a worn pad is recoated between seasons. Systems: StreetBond, StreetBondSR ### Public Spaces https://hubss.com/applications/public-spaces Stamped and coloured asphalt for plazas, transit forecourts and campuses. Plazas, transit forecourts, campuses and civic squares are the most looked-at surfaces in a community. StreetPrint stamps a pattern into the asphalt itself, so a plaza gets the look of stone paving with the asphalt's own flexibility: no pavers to settle, no joints to weed, nothing for a plow to catch. StreetBond pavement coating colours the pattern and, on its own, marks zones, routes and gathering places in 63 standard colours, as in the labyrinth at BC Children's Hospital. DecoMark adds the graphics, from a campus crest to wayfinding, heat-applied to the surface, and DuraTherm inlays a decorative crossing flush with the road where the plaza meets traffic. All of it goes in over sound asphalt, with no excavation. Systems: StreetPrint, StreetBond, DecoMark, DuraTherm ### Commercial Spaces https://hubss.com/applications/commercial-spaces Hardscape finishes for retail centres, mixed-use developments, and hospitality entries. Customers and tenants read a retail centre, a mixed-use development or a hotel entrance before they walk in, and the surface at the door is the first thing underfoot. StreetPrint stamps cobblestone, herringbone or fan patterns into the asphalt of entry courts and walkways for the look of stone at a lower cost than natural stone, with none of the settling, weeding and re-levelling that pavers need. TrafficPatternsXD, the aggregate-reinforced preformed thermoplastic, carries the crosswalks from the parking lot to the doors: stamped into the asphalt, it holds under turning traffic and keeps its grip and its colour for a service life of ten years or more. Systems: TrafficPatternsXD, StreetPrint ### Townhomes https://hubss.com/applications/townhomes Cohesive stamped asphalt hardscape for townhome and strata developments. A townhome or strata development is judged at the curb, and its shared surfaces are paid for by the owners who live there, so maintenance matters as much as looks. StreetPrint stamps clay-paver or stone-cobble patterns into the asphalt of entry courts, shared drives and visitor parking, with no pavers to settle and no joints to weed. StreetBond pavement coating colours the pattern and ties the courts and walkways into one palette; when it wears, a crew recoats it. For a strata with sound but ageing asphalt, DuraShield maintenance coating protects the surface from fuel, oil and de-icing salt and extends its service life before any decorative work is needed. Systems: StreetPrint, StreetBond, DuraShield ### Residential Driveways https://hubss.com/applications/residential-driveways Your existing asphalt, stamped and coloured to look like brick or stone. Nothing dug up. A driveway is the most visible surface a homeowner owns, and the most used. StreetPrint works on the asphalt already there: the surface is reheated, a steel wire-rope template presses a cobblestone, brick, herringbone or slate pattern into it, and StreetBond pavement coating colours it in the owner's choice of colour. There is no demolition, no excavation and no haul-away, and the finished driveway has the look of stone pavers with the asphalt's flexibility: nothing settles, nothing heaves, nothing grows between joints. Years on, the colour is renewed with a fresh coat. Where an older driveway is sound but tired, DuraShield maintenance coating protects it and extends its service life. Systems: StreetPrint, DuraShield ### Pedestrian Safety https://hubss.com/applications/pedestrian-safety High-contrast crosswalks and retroreflective markings that stay visible through Canadian winters. A crosswalk marking has to be seen at night in the rain, and a school zone treatment has to read at driving speed; both have to survive a Canadian winter. TrafficPatterns and TrafficPatternsXD give crossings and school zones high-contrast colour in preformed thermoplastic, with anti-skid aggregate through the material, so the contrast and the grip last through plow blades and de-icing seasons. PreMark adds the retroreflective part: stop bars, ladder lines, school legends and symbols in preformed thermoplastic with glass beads that return a headlight to the driver. MMAX marks pedestrian priority zones and raised intersections in colour, in an overnight closure. Together they support a Vision Zero program at the surface, where the driver's eye meets the road. Systems: TrafficPatternsXD, TrafficPatterns, PreMark, MMAX ### Traffic Calming https://hubss.com/applications/traffic-calming Colour and texture for gateways, speed tables and roundabouts, so drivers see the street change before any sign. Traffic calming works when a driver sees the street change before a sign says so, and colour and texture do that at a gateway, a speed table, a roundabout apron or a raised crossing. StreetPrint stamps a pattern into the asphalt of the calming device itself, so the texture is in the road rather than on it, and StreetBond pavement coating colours it; the same coating marks the sidewalks, pathways and plazas around it. TrafficPatternsXD, aggregate-reinforced preformed thermoplastic stamped into the asphalt, carries the raised crosswalk and the school zone treatment under heavy traffic. MMAX colours a whole calming zone in the same closure. Systems: StreetPrint, StreetBond, TrafficPatternsXD, MMAX ### Airports https://hubss.com/applications/airports Preformed thermoplastic airfield markings for taxiways, aprons and other non-runway surfaces, applied by certified crews. Airfield markings are read by pilots and ground crews at speed, in all weather, through de-icing fluid and ground-handling traffic. AirMark is preformed thermoplastic made for the airside surfaces other than the runway: taxiway markings, hold positions, apron and ramp markings, aircraft parking and tie-down positions, and airside vehicle roadways, in five standard colours. Glass beads run through the full cross-section, so retroreflectivity holds as the marking wears, and it resists aviation fuels, lubricants and de-icers. HUB's certified crews heat-apply it inside a closure window, and the marking is open to traffic once it has cooled. Systems: AirMark ### LEED & Urban Heat Island https://hubss.com/applications/leed-urban-heat-island Solar reflective pavement coatings that reduce the urban heat island effect and can contribute to LEED v5 credits. Dark asphalt absorbs most of the sun's energy and adds to the urban heat island effect, the measurable temperature difference between a city and the rural areas around it. The extra heat raises air-conditioning demand and makes summer heat events more dangerous for vulnerable people. StreetBondSR is a solar-reflective coating that lowers pavement surface temperature. Its lighter colours reflect a third of the sun's energy or more, which can count toward the LEED v5 credit for reducing the urban heat island. Systems: StreetBondSR, DuraShield ### Public Art https://hubss.com/applications/public-art Civic-scale pavement murals, Indigenous art installations, and landmark street graphics. Street-scale art has to survive traffic, weather and winter maintenance as well as look right from the sidewalk. DecoMark reproduces an artist's work in preformed thermoplastic: the artwork is supplied as vector files, factory-cut in standard and premium colours, and heat-applied to asphalt or concrete, where it bonds to the surface with anti-skid aggregate through the material. StreetBond pavement coating lays down the large colour fields, from a plaza mural to the labyrinth at BC Children's Hospital, in 63 standard colours with custom matching. TrafficPatterns carries an artwork across a crossing as one interconnected sheet of thermoplastic. HUB works with the artist, the municipality and, for Indigenous work, the nation whose design it is, and the installed piece has the service life of the system it is made from. Systems: DecoMark, StreetBond, TrafficPatterns, StreetPrint ### Regulatory Markings https://hubss.com/applications/regulatory-markings Thermoplastic stop bars, arrows, legends, and lane markings that hold spec season after season. Stop bars, turn arrows, yield lines, school zone legends, accessible parking symbols and lane designations carry legal weight on the road. Each one has to sit where it belongs, keep its dimensions and stay legible at night in the rain until the next maintenance cycle. PreMark preformed thermoplastic comes pre-cut to specification for arrows, stop bars, yield triangles, school legends, accessible parking symbols and crosswalk ladder lines, and is heat-applied without stencils. Integrated glass beads make it retroreflective, and it is open to traffic immediately, with no curing window.
