Both asphalt and concrete pavements are very strong and considerably durable. However, asphalt paving can be more durable and last longer than concrete. Stamped Asphalt is a flexible pavement that resists cracking due to substrate shifting and is used affected by deciding salts and chemicals. unlike concrete which can crack and flake when subjected to driving salts and chemicals and substrate movement. Asphalt paving is also more capable of handling heavy vehicle traffic than concrete. It is more durable than concrete and can hence support heavier loads on its surfaces for longer periods of time. Asphalt is also easier to repair than concrete.
Stamped Asphalt is faster, easier and less labor intensive to install than other decorative pattern paving surfaces, and is a smart alternative to more expensive products like stamped concrete and pavers, without compromising aesthetic quality or durability. You can have an asphalt driveway or pavement installed in less than 48 hours and it will be ready for use almost immediately; while concrete pavement installations are required to set for many days prior to first use.
Due to installation and labour costs per square foot, stamped concrete paving can cost twice as much as stamped asphalt paving. It takes far less time to install stamped asphalt and have ready for regular high-traffic use.
Easy to Maintain
Stamped Asphalt can be installed on existing asphalt to save on pavement costs, and can be easily refurbished. It’s as simple as re-heating, and coating the asphalt substrate.
Stamped Concrete surfaces on the other hand require constant and costly maintenance procedures to prevent cracking, chipping and stains. Additionally refurbishing the existing stamped concrete surface is not an option. A damaged stamped concrete surface will need to be torn up and re-installed from scratch.

Stamped Concrete: More expensive due to longer installation time and consequently increased labour costs.
Stamped Asphalt: Includes seamless installation on a flexible base, which inhibits cracking, weed growth and damage from snowplows.
Stamped Concrete: When it cracks and the surface begins to erode, replacement is the only solution.
Stamped Asphalt: Can receive traffic almost immediately after installation.
Stamped Concrete: Needs at least seven days before being subjected to any traffic.
Stamped Asphalt: Has low maintenance requirements, is easy to repair and at a lower cost.
Stamped Concrete: is hard to repair and at a much higher price.

Stamped Asphalt: Stains and damage due to oil and gas are less noticeable and easy to repair.
Stamped Concrete: Gas and oil spills leave more obvious stains.
Stamped Asphalt: Lasts up to 20 years and is easily repaired.
Stamped Concrete: Lasts up to 20 years but is hard to repair and at a much higher cost.
